Being diagnosed, or having a family member or friend diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, is extremely stressful. The often debilitating treatment that follows the diagnosis can compound this stress.
Many patients find it helpful to talk to people close to them, or make use of the counselling services and supportive resources offered by the social workers in the Leukemia/BMT Program. Feel free to approach any member of your health care team – we are here to help!
We hope that the information on this site will help you and your loved ones recognize and develop your physical, social, emotional, and spiritual strengths.
