Each patient room is equipped with a television with cable access already set up. There is no charge for cable. As well, there is a portable CD player in each room.
The Inpatient Unit has several mobile televisions set up with a VCR or DVD player. The unit also has a Nintendo Wii® and a PlayStation® 2. Please speak to the nurse or occupational therapist if you wish to sign out any of these audio/visual equipment.
You may want to bring in your own videos, DVDs or music for your viewing/listening pleasure. There is also an extensive DVD, VHS and CD library available for patient use. These were generously donated by patients and their families. Board games, cards and art supplies are also available. Please speak to the nurse if you wish to borrow an item from the entertainment and leisure library.
The Leukemia/BMT Inpatient Unit also runs a Tile Project. If you are interested in participating, please speak to the occupational therapist.
